The 1st violins have 4 players, and have expressivity and legatos not that far from newer and IMO better libraries. Spitfire Chamber Strings Except for the V1, SCS have only three players / each section. I use SSS occasionally, and today I'm glad I have both SSS and SCS even if neihter of them are my go-to libraries. Spitfire Symphonic Strings I ended up with a bundle that included SSS and SCS after having bought Mural 1 and 2 and finding myself disappointed with several things. My own major string* libraries are: * I have no percussion, choir, brass or woodwind libraries, except for a 2-3 solo instruments. What are your major – and your favorite – orchestral libraries, and why are your favorites your favorites? The reason why I ask for both a) the main/major libraries you own and b) your favorite libraries among them is that our lists of preferred libraries will be interesting for others only if we also mention some of the other major libraries we own (or have tried).
